Merit Badges Required For Eagle Rank
A Scout must earn only 12 of the following 15 Merit Badges for the rank of Eagle Scout. Of these; they have a choice to take either Emergency Preparedness or Lifesaving, and a choice between Swimming or Hiking or Cycling Merit Badges.A Scout may choose any combination of these merit badges to fulfill requirement number 3 for Star and Life Scout. (He must have a total of 4 of these badges for Star and 7 of these badges for Life)
