April 17, 2019 —  Conclave Meeting – 7:00PM at First Presbyterian Church, Warren

For anyone interested in Lifeguard Training – according to Perry O’Neill, Camp Olmsted swimming instructor, if a youth completes the YMCA course listed below, he or she can receive his/her lifeguard certification.  After successful completion of the course, the youth will just need to pass a few tests at the Camp Olmsted waterfront, and then he/she will earn the B.S.A. Lifeguarding certificate. This is also a great summer job opportunity for any eligible youth.  The B.S.A., as well as several other pools, beaches, and waterways are always looking for certified lifeguards.

The YMCA Lifeguard course will begin Wednesday, April 17, 2019, with a water pre-test from 6:00-7:00 pm. After successful completion of this YMCA-certified course, the participant is qualified for a lifeguard position anywhere in the United States. Classes will be held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00-9:00pm and will conclude mid-May. This course is open to anyone age 16 or older.  Please visit the YMCA of Warren’s website at Warren County YMCA for more information.
